SAP.iO Fund Invests in Andjaro, an Internal HR Staffing Marketplace Connected to SAP SuccessFactors Solutions

SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that its investment arm, SAP.iO Fund, has invested in second round funding of Andjaro, a Paris-based company that provides real-time workforce optimization and helps manage and staff remote workers. The €13.4 million Series B round was led by Idinvest Partners and includes existing investor Balderton Capital.

Andjaro helps companies redeploy employees internally and works with SAP SuccessFactors solutions. SAP works with Andjaro to provide SAP customers with a real-time overview on staffing gaps, employee skills, availability and proximity to propose voluntary redeployment for a short period of time. SAP.iO Fund previously invested in the Balderton-led 2018 Series A round.

SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv Launches Accelerator Program Focused on Consumer Products

SAP kicked off its consumer-products-focused business-to-business (B2B) technology accelerator program at SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv, with seven early-stage startups focused on manufacturing, supply chain, sales and marketing solutions.

The SAP.iO zero-equity-ask program is designed to accelerate innovation and drive new business models for SAP’s customers. This cohort will tackle top-priority challenges including personalization, consumer experience, data-driven insights, sales automation, and demand and supply planning.

Startups in the program will have access to curated mentorship, exposure to SAP technology and application programmable interfaces (APIs), and collaboration opportunities with SAP customers.

“Our customers are looking for innovative solutions to help improve agility and speed, especially in these challenging and transformative times,” said Peter Maier, SAP president of Industries and Customer Advisory.

The following startups are participating in the SAP.iO Foundry Tel-Aviv:

  • Aiola’s natural-language sales analytics platform integrates data from multiple planning software systems of consumer packaged goods companies, generating accurate sales and demand forecasting, trade promotions optimization, new product launch analysis and market-share forecasting.
  • Hexa helps retail partners share information by converting their existing product information into immersive content (three-dimensional/artificial reality) in an efficient and cost-effective way.
  • Pecan is an automated predictive analytics platform that uses advanced artificial intelligence to connect and unify various data sources, allowing quick and automated development and deployment of predictive use cases.
  • Sampler is a direct-to-consumer product sampling platform that allows brands to target, track and measure their sampling programs from start to finish.
  • SRP Analytics’ advanced digital retail format connects brands, local stores and consumers on a single nearby platform, increasing sales growth, supply-chain efficiency and consumer loyalty.
  • TrenDemon is a content marketing analytics platform that integrates a company’s digital assets and maps the customer journeys, providing insights and action items to improve content impact and return on investment.
  • TVPage provides brands with the ability to present ambassador digital storefronts on their websites — empowering subject matter experts, in-store sales associates, influencers and savvy customers to promote and sell their products online.

SilverCloud Health Announces $16M Series B Funding for Digital Mental Health Platform

SilverCloud Health, the world’s leading digital mental health platform for healthcare systems and providers, health plans, and employers, today announced a $16 million Series B funding round led by MemorialCare Innovation Fund, which included LRVHealth, OSF Ventures and UnityPoint Health Ventures, elevating the company’s total funding to more than $30 million. SAP.iO Foundry Singapore Launches Industry 4.0 Startup Acceleration Program

SINGAPORE SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today kicked off a new SAP.iO Foundry Singapore program, with five international startups that will help SAP customers become Industry 4.0 businesses and go beyond digital manufacturing to seamlessly connect all aspects of an entire company.

This cohort will work to develop technologies to enable businesses to extend the value of their investments in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Digital Supply Chain solutions.

“Singapore has developed a vibrant startup ecosystem and is the gateway to the ASEAN region,” said Rachel Barger, SAP South East Asia president and managing director. “SAP continually partners with other solution providers, including startups in Singapore, to help organizations unlock value with the latest Industry 4.0 technologies.”

SAP.iO Foundry Singapore accelerates innovation and drives new business models for SAP. The zero-equity-ask program provides startups with curated support from within and outside of SAP, exposure to SAP technologies, and opportunities to collaborate with SAP customers. The program will conclude at an SAP.iO Demo Day in the beginning of June.

“The SAP.iO Foundry Singapore spring acceleration program will see the development of new Industry 4.0 solutions for companies in the region, and contribute to bolstering the ecosystem for startups in Singapore,” said Kiren Kumar, chief digital industry officer of Digital Industry Singapore, a government office that supports the growth of Singapore’s technology sector. “We look forward to strengthening our longstanding partnership with SAP, as we innovate and create new solutions out of Singapore.”

The following startups are part of the SAP.iO Foundry Singapore Spring 2020 program:

  • Botsync provides easily deployable and cost-effective mobile material-handling robotic solutions to enable companies, especially small and midsize enterprises, in Asia Pacific to improve productivity.
  • H3 Dynamics combines machine learning, remote telerobotics and off-grid capabilities for drone services that can deploy and manage commercial condition monitoring, security and safety solutions.
  • Memorence uses artificial intelligence (AI) to develop smart visual learning and recognition systems for enterprise and consumer solutions, which can improve production quality and operational efficiency.
  • VersaFleet automates modern supply chains with route optimization, electronic proof-of-delivery, instant notifications and real-time job-status tracking.
  • HyBird automates visual inspection of industrial facilities through its data-source-agnostic software “Clarity,” which employs computer vision and AI to produce interactive digital twin models for better asset maintenance.

Ou les technologies des ressources humaines (RH, HR en anglais) pensées pour le travail du futur.

« Les capacités numériques et les nouvelles façons de travailler bouleversent les entreprises et les services RH », a déclaré Sébastien Gibier, directeur de SAP.iO Foundry Paris. Recrutement, intégration, montée en compétences, départ des employés… « Pour rester attractives », les organisations cherchent à créer une expérience collaborateur « de bout en bout ». Les jeunes pousses sélectionnées par l’accélérateur sont susceptibles de les y aider.

Pour cette quatrième promotion, les 8 startups et projets suivants ont été retenus :

5Feedback : une application qui permet aux salariés d’obtenir en temps réel des retours et évaluations de leurs compétences auprès de leur interlocuteurs professionnels.
360Learning : une plateforme d’apprentissage collaboratif (collaborative learning) pour les entreprises.
eLamp : une solution basée sur l’IA d’identification des compétences des collaborateurs.
FirstBird : un programme de fidélisation des collaborateurs pour recruteurs.
RandomCoffee : un logiciel SaaS de mise en relation entre collaborateurs en fonction de règles prédéfinies par l’entreprise.
Timeular : un logiciel de suivi et gestion du temps de travail.
Workelo : un outil de gestion opérationnelle des mobilités, de l’intégration au départ.
Yogist : une méthode et un chatbot de prévention santé en entreprise.

Accompagnement et mentorat

Ces sociétés bénéficieront pendant 10 semaines, à raison de 3 jours par semaine, de l’accompagnement de mentors issus du comité exécutif de SAP France. Elles auront également accès à des ateliers animés par des coachs de l’éditeur de logiciels ou de son écosystème.

De surcroît, 5 grands clients du groupe allemand vont contribuer à la phase d’accélération de ces jeunes pousses. « C’est la première fois que nous travaillons autant la complémentarité technologique avec nos produits » et « que nous mobilisons autant de clients en amont du programme », a expliqué le responsable du bureau parisien de l’accélérateur.

À l’issue du programme, enfin, les technologies des startups viendront compléter SAP SuccessFactors, la solution HCM* de SAP aux 125 millions d’utilisateurs revendiqués.

SAP Kicks Off SAP.iO Foundry Paris for HR Tech Startups

PARIS SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced that SAP.iO Foundry Paris today kicked off its new accelerator program focused on human resources (HR) technology and the future of work.

Over the next 12 weeks, SAP will accelerate eight HR technology startups that will revolutionize recruiting, talent management and collaborative learning for human resources.

SAP.iO Foundry Berlin Launches Industry 4.0 Startup Acceleration Program

SAP has announced that SAP.iO Foundry Berlin kicked off its second Industry 4.0 program earlier this month, with six international business-to-business startups focused on manufacturing, logistics, supply chain management and process optimization.

The SAP.iO Foundries program enables startups to develop technologies to help existing businesses go beyond digital manufacturing and seamlessly connect all aspects of an entire company — from design to operations to sales and service. The program helps SAP customers to find and adopt these disruptive technologies.

The following startups are joining the SAP.iO Foundry Berlin Spring 2020 program:

  • Agranimo produces software and microclimate monitoring equipment that turn soil and climate information into a management strategy.
  • Fretlink connects shippers to the largest hubs of local carriers in Europe through a new standard road-freight organization.

SAP.iO Fund Invests in Hasura, Provider of GraphQL Access to Data Sources

AP.iO Fund, has invested in Hasura, a San Francisco and Bangalore-based company that provides data access and data flow tools and services via GraphQL APIs.

SAP will work with Hasura to enable support for SAP HANA as well as offer native GraphQL capabilities to the SAP Cloud Platform Integration Suite. The Series A round was led by Vertex Ventures and includes existing investors Nexus Venture Partners and Strive VC, among others.

Hasura’s event engine makes it easy to integrate cloud-native/serverless business logic to the GraphQL API. Hasura automatically generates real-time GraphQL APIs using declarative metadata configuration and authorization policies for consumers. Organizations can use GraphQL in production and mission-critical applications alongside existing and modern cloud-native infrastructures without the significant cost of building and maintaining a GraphQL server.

Smart credit fintech startup Flowcast nabs US$3M Series A funding from ING Ventures, BitRock Capital

The company noted that the proceeds of this round will be used to fund the acceleration of Flowcast’s go-to-market strategy, global market expansion especially in Singapore and the APAC region, and the continuing product development and improvement. Flowcast shares that it is also participating in the SAP.iO Foundry Singapore program, which aims to accelerate startups via providing them access to curated mentorship, exposure to SAP technology, and application programmable interfaces (APIs) with opportunities to collaborate with SAP customers in the Southeast Asian region.
