GenAI-Powered Recruiters Boost Qualified Candidate Pools By 55%

Matching qualified candidates with open positions just became a lot more cost-efficient with GenAI. Sense Talent Labs has developed an AI-powered talent engagement app that reduces cost per hire and gives job seekers that all-important human touch to bond with an organization’s culture.

“We provide intelligent personalized candidate journeys from sourcing and screening through interviews, hiring, and onboarding,” said Alex Rosen, co-founder and head of products at Sense. “Our full lifecycle talent and engagement platform empowers recruiters and candidates with individualized interactions. Organizations can find, hire, and onboard qualified people faster, boosting recruiter productivity and giving candidates a higher quality experience.”

Sense’s customers are from a variety of industries worldwide including retail and hospitality, manufacturing and logistics, healthcare, and technology. Rosen said that on average companies reduce time to hire by 30% and cost per hire by 35%, while increasing the number of qualified applications by 55%.

Surprisingly personalized automation from GenAI chat bot

Embedded in SAP SuccessFactors, Sense AI Copilot sources and pre-qualifies candidates from an organization’s existing applicant database and new applications. The conversational AI chat bot asks important questions based on the job description including someone’s last job title, years of experience in pre-designated responsibilities, and willingness to work certain hours at a particular location. Candidates that pass the first pre-screening are automatically scheduled for interviews with the appropriate hiring managers based on updated calendars.

“The chat bot knows as much as possible about each candidate based on all the touch points that they’ve had with the company, such as jobs they’ve previously applied to and their resume background,” said Rosen. “There are no redundant questions that reflect what someone’s already provided on their application. Without wasting any time, the chat bot asks the candidate for new information, speeding up the entire process.”

How Pryon mitigates the risks of GenAI in enterprise contexts

With every technological innovation comes a downside; in the world of AI and its generative iteration, KM professionals must strike the balance between enhancing workflows with AI and protecting their enterprise against the risk of open generative AI (GenAI) solutions.

Experts from Pryon joined KMWorld’s webinar, Navigating the Risks of Generative AI for Knowledge Management, to explore how Pryon’s AI knowledge management platform can aid in achieving that risk/reward balance when implementing GenAI in the workplace.

Chris Mahl, president and COO at Pryon, introduced Igor Jablokov, founder and CEO at Pryon, who explained that “while generative AI is transformative in certain public, imaginative, and creative use cases, there is certain issues associated with them showing up in more enterprise contexts.”

Upon inspecting these technologies, Jablokov continued, there is an extensive list of dangers, which include:

  • Frequent hallucinations
  • Static training data
  • Problems memorialized in code
  • High risk of data leakage
  • Vendor lock-in
  • Reverse engineering
  • Lack of user access control
  • Prompt injection attacks
  • Supply chain attacks
  • Universal and transferable adversarial attacks
  • Copyright legal gray area
  • Legal constraints
  • Toxic and biased responses
  • Limitations of monolithic LLM architecture
  • Extensive energy consumption
  • Model collapse
  • Model drift
  • Poisoned training data

This laundry list of potential risks in implementing GenAI for proprietary use cases illustrates that while the technology is exciting, it’s not without its drawbacks. For instance, static training data—which limits an LLM to outdated information—can prevent the language model from outputting the most up-to-date information. Furthermore, models will not reliably “forget” wrong or outdated information, ultimately reducing overall model performance, according to Jablokov.

Outside of accuracy, GenAI poses unique privacy concerns in enterprise contexts. Leaking sensitive proprietary data, vendors using that data to train an LLM, masked queries revealing the content an LLM is trained on, and more can land an enterprise vying for innovation in hot water.

Enter Pryon, a platform purpose-built to eliminate the risks posed by purely generative approaches. Pryon transforms static content into interactive knowledge, ingesting information of any classification—including public, personal, published, and private content—and eliminating the distance between critical information and those who need it most.

Pryon reduces risk of hallucinations and bias, while simultaneously employing document-level access controls and RAG methodology that does not require model training on user queries. Enterprises have full control of the knowledge set available to the models, as well as access to various tools that enable additional control over responses.

Paradox Named to Third Consecutive Inc. 5000 List — Growing by More than 720% Since 2020

Paradox, the conversational recruiting software helping companies like Unilever, Nestlé, Pfizer, and General Motors automate recruiting work to make the hiring process more efficient, was named to the Inc. 5000 for the third consecutive year — achieving the honor with a 720% three-year growth rate, highest among recruiting technology companies. The list, published annually by Inc. Magazine, recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in the United States and celebrates their outstanding achievements in business development and innovation.

Paradox debuted on the Inc. 5000 list in 2021 and was also recognized on the Deloitte Fast 500 list in 2022 and 2023. While those achievements celebrate the company’s growth, Paradox founder and CEO Aaron Matos said they’re simply the result of focusing on something far more important.

“Recognition like this is nice, but we’ve always benchmarked our success by a simpler metric: Our client’s success, specifically, our ability to solve real, meaningful problems for them in transformative ways,” said Matos. “This company has come so far from the early days of a dream and an idea — that Conversational AI and automation could change enterprise software — and we still have a long way to go to reach that vision. But, I’m so proud of the team we’ve built and the clients we have the opportunity to partner with every single day.”

First launched in 2016, Paradox’s conversational software is underpinned by a smart AI assistant that acts as a concierge throughout the hiring process — automating time-stealers and points of friction to create world-class experiences that drive higher candidate conversion and dramatically improve recruiter and hiring manager efficiency.

Breaking the trust barrier: Accredify’s journey to secure digital interactions

In our increasingly digitized world, the manner in which we exchange information has evolved from traditional pen and paper to the utilization of digital data, facilitated by the internet.

While these advancements offer efficiency, speed, and accessibility, digital interactions are typically hindered by a lack of trust. To preserve data integrity, verification is required, usually through methods involving multiple parties, and this can result in inefficiencies.

When Zheng Wei Quah, co-founder and CEO of Accredify, recognized this challenge, he decided to embark on a journey to transform the landscape of digital interactions.

Implementing blockchain technology for real-world cases

Quah’s first blockchain venture, Ceito, aimed at aiding businesses in leveraging blockchain technology for optimizing supply chain management and commodities trading. In 2017, he ventured into a new chapter together with his co-founders, taking the strategic step of establishing Accredify, in response to the evolving landscape that witnessed a transition from service-centric to product-centric enterprises.

According to Quah, one of the significant challenges they encountered was the scarcity of available information and resources about blockchain technology at that time.

“We’re accustomed to leveraging resources like Stack Overflow and other tools to search for solutions to our challenges. However, back then, the situation was quite different. Tasks such as customizing specific Ethereum components to align with our use case posed significant challenges. The answers to these questions weren’t readily available, leading us to recognize the need to invent our own solutions,” Quah said.

Furthermore, the concept of blockchain was relatively new, and Quah found himself needing to explain granular technical details. Controversies such as the crash of the Terra Luna cryptocurrency and the FTX centralized exchange did not deter their efforts.

Support from government entities, universities, and its clients helped people learn to distinguish between firms offering real-world applications like Accredify, and cryptocurrencies. This provided strong evidence that the company is here for the long haul.

Mitigate Risk During Employment Separation with Onwards HR

Talent acquisition remains a focal point for most organizations in this dynamic and highly competitive corporate environment. Unfortunately, the pivotal process of offboarding often takes a back seat. An efficient employment separation process plays a key role in enhancing the employee experience, protecting the company’s reputation and mitigating potential legal and financial risks associated with employee separation. One solution that effectively addresses these complexities is Onwards HR, a platform that automates key portions of the separation process to ensure accuracy, compliance and a positive overall brand experience for those leaving the organization and those charged with executing what is often an emotional and stressful process.

Even under the best circumstances, employment separation is traditionally a labor-intensive and challenging process. It involves multiple stakeholders, including human resources representatives, line managers, legal counsel and executives, who must ensure a smooth and compliant transition while managing their primary job responsibilities. This dual responsibility often leads to overstretched staff and an increased risk of errors, creating a potential minefield of financial and legal implications for the organization. Examples include lawsuits resulting from unlawful terminations, potential violations of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (or WARN) Act during mass layoffs, adverse impact on protected groups and the financial pitfalls due to clerical errors or improperly executed severance agreements. The stakes are higher than often appreciated, considering legal fees and the potential damage to the organization’s reputation. Plus, the emotionally charged nature of the circumstances surrounding these events further compounds stress, making it essential to manage with precision and sensitivity.

In light of these challenges, organizations are turning to technology to ensure a structured, automated separation process that safeguards accuracy and compliance. This is a natural extension of the ongoing movement to automation in HR technology, which is critical to achieving the best business outcomes. We assert that by 2025, three-quarters of organizations will identify use cases that specify human capital management system requirements for optimum agility. This critical business process is a perfect example of how technology brings structure and automation to a business-critical but sometimes highly risky process.

Enter Onwards HR: an innovative system that streamlines employee separation actions, minimizes financial and legal risks and saves time and costs typically incurred by a long and redundant process with the engagement of external legal counsel. Onwards HR is a comprehensive digital platform that seamlessly manages the most critical elements of the separation process. The technology ensures strict adherence to laws and regulations, minimizing the potential for costly litigation. For instance, Onwards HR has built-in compliance checks for WARN Act implications, flagging potential violations during large-scale layoffs. This preemptive risk mitigation is an invaluable asset for organizations navigating the complex legal landscape of offboarding.

How GrainChain Is Leveling the Playing Field

GrainChain has been nominated in HackerNoon’s annual Startup of the Year awards in McAllen, Texas, USA.

Meet GrainChain

GrainChain is working to level the playing field for producers and all other participants along the global agricultural supply chain by directly addressing current pain points such as reliability of data, traceability, the speed of payments, and access to financing and insurance.

My Role

I am Tom DeRosa, Director of Marketing for GrainChain. I have the privilege of crafting GrainChain’s story and sharing it with the world, from what we do to how we do it and the impact we are making across the global agricultural supply chain.

I’m excited about our most recent campaign: interviews with the producers, lenders, and other supply chain participants that we work with. There are real people and real world success stories behind our impressive technological innovations.

How We’re Disrupting/Improving the Agricultural Industry

We’re bringing the technological tools that large-scale producers use and making them available to small to medium-sized producers.

GrainChain is working to take an industry that is still relying on paper and labor-intensive practices and move it toward a productive, sustainable future, helping producers, buyers, storage operators, lenders, and other supply chain participants around the world.

Our software ecosystem solves problems for all participants at every stage of the supply chain, providing better visibility, efficiency, and data. We are not merely aggregating data but generating it, and the reliability of this data allows us to open up new opportunities in the marketplace.

Standing Out from The Crowd

We are unique because we are not creating solutions in search of a problem.

We’re not building blockchain and IoT-driven solutions because that technology is popular and draws attention–we are constantly seeking out the best technology and approaches available to solve real-world problems faced along the agricultural supply chain.

More importantly, we are applying these technologies the right way.

Each solution we have built solves a specific problem that producers, buyers, lenders, storage operators, and other supply chain participants are facing in markets around the world.

We believe no one is really tackling supply chain efficiency, traceability, and liquidity in the holistic way we are, connecting all participants through a single point of truth.

Our Predictions/Thoughts on the Agricultural Industry in 2023

Automation and digitization of processes at each stage of the supply chain will continue to ramp up in 2023, meaning more reliable, real-time data can be captured, stored, and made available to all stakeholders.

This data is key to lowering risk and providing producers with more and better financial options from loans to insurance.

AI is going to be transformative in this industry as it is across all industries. AI can help supply chain participants identify anomalous data and solve problems more quickly.

It can enhance predictive analytics and forecasting so that producers can make their operations more efficient and get better prices in a highly volatile marketplace.

As with many industries, there will be a shift away from proprietary hardware and heavy investments in infrastructure toward cloud computing and mobile apps that allow producers, storage operators, and logistics providers to more quickly and easily integrate technology into their operations.

We’re in an age of amazing advancements in technology, but the key is applying the right technologies in the right way to truly impact the agricultural supply chain.

Delhi startup is using AI to fix challneges in the hiring process

At a time when security concerns and cyber threats are plaguing organizations, employee background verification has become more important than ever. TraqCheck, a Delhi-based startup launched in 2021, aims to make employee background verification more efficient and cost-effective. Founded by Jaibir Nihal Singh and his childhood friends Armaan Mehta and Rishabh Jain, the startup uses AI for the background verification of employees and helps organizations onboard the right people. It uses technology and automation to increase speed, enhance efficiency, reduce human error, and help companies maintain compliance to streamline the background verification process.

“Despite initial feedback from several industry experts suggesting the infeasibility of automating background checks in India, we persisted in building our product and discovered that it was indeed viable. This realisation motivated us to focus on developing the technology and advancing ahead,” Jaibir Nihal Singh, Co-founder of TraqCheck, tells YourStory.

The founders initially invested Rs 6 lakh from personal savings to bootstrap the startup. Currently, the team has about 20 employees. Automating verification solution TraqCheck is an ‘Application Programming Interface (API)-first product that is customizable and can be integrated with any Human Resource System (HRMS) with just a few lines of code.

Singh explains that after getting information about the candidate, it runs a background verification with the data gathered. It then produces results that can be viewed on the dashboard or the client’s HRMS system. The product authenticates and aggregates an individual’s historical information, including their criminal record, education history, previous employment, identity, address, and psychometric results, with meticulous accuracy and a fast turnaround time. It also includes a myriad of bots and algorithms such as the Identity Matching Algorithm, the Employment Verification Bot, and the Forgery Detection Algorithm, amalgamated with an end-to-end automated system, providing organizations with complete background check solutions.

“Our streamlined approach is designed to minimize any additional workload for HR teams, providing them with a convenient and seamless experience, while their advanced system handles the entire background verification process expeditiously,” Singh asserts.

The startup has partnered with OpenAI to build various features such as categorizing criminal records, computer vision for current address verification, and more.
