SAP.iO at Viva Technology in Paris

21 SAP.iO Fund and Foundry startups from around Europe and Africa had their own pods within the SAP booth and were able to interact with many SAP customers. Through the joint presence the startups were able to generate more than 500 leads from SAP customers like LVMH, Accor, Celine, Coca-Cola, L’Oréal, Mondelez, Nestlé and Heineken.
Besides the booth presence, the startups were able to pitch their solutions and 4 panel discussions were focused around the SAP.iO activities including No Boundaries program. 4tittoo and Energiency also had integrated demo showcases with SAP solutions.
Executive Support
SAP Executives like Brian Duffy, President EMEA North, SAP Diversity and Inclusion Officer Judith Williams and SAP Chief Learning Officer Bernd Welz highlighted the SAP.iO activities in their talks. Brian represented SAP at the CEO Forum in a panel with Vinci Energies and Energiency (SAP.iO Foundry Paris Startup 2018), which drove a lot of traffic to the SAP booth and Energiency pod. Judith Williams highlighted the SAP.iO No Boundaries program in her presentation and Alexa Gorman, Head of SAP.iO Foundries Europe discussed Inclusive Entrepreneurship as part of her panel discussion with France Digital, Serena Capital, Les Determinés and Paris&Co.
Local Ecosystem
Among the large number of visitors to the booth, the most prestigious ones were Margrethe Vestager, EU Competition Commissioner, Pascal Cagni – Chairman of the Board at Business France in charge of the Program #ChooseFrance leading the engagement between Bill Mc Dermott and Emmanuel Macron, Dorothee Bär – German Minister of State for Digitisation, Frédérique Vidal – French Minister of University, Research and Innovation. Many taking the time to talk to the startups and understand how SAP is building an open ecosystem of startups with SAP.iO.
