About the Program

The energy and natural resources industries have undergone a significant transformation in recent years, shifting from centralized fossil fuel-based operations to a more decentralized and diverse landscape powered by renewables. This shift has been driven by environmental concerns and technological innovations that promise to make extraction and processing more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable. The movement requires companies to develop intelligent solutions for energy generation and storage, water management, and circular production processes while striving for energy efficiency in their own operations.

In September 2023, SAP.iO Foundry Munich will launch a 6-month equity-free program for B2B SaaS startups that assist utility and oil & gas sector entities in their digital transformation. Selected startups will work with SAP to develop a long-term partnership, including joint use-case development, product integration, and business development activities to create insights, and services e initial deal pipelines and ultimately provide new value, to our customers. Selected SAP clients will also participate in the program, helping with screening and selection and potentially serving as beta sites for future proof of concepts.
