Enhancing Consumer Experiences with Deep Production Insights in the Coffee Value Chain
Wanting to provide high-quality insights on product provenance to consumers, Melitta implemented the SAP® Business Network Material Traceability solution along with the Unique QR Codes for Farm-to-Consumer Traceability solution from SAP partner Scantrust SA. Scantrust’s offering generates unique QR codes for products and provides a front-end mobile Web page to view the data and marketing information. So, when a consumer scans the unique QR code on the coffee packaging to discover its provenance, the immutability of the information stored within the blockchain provides a heightened level of credibility.

Improving quality with AI-assisted visual inspection
SPS and its partner Syntax decided to extend the existing SAP Digital Manufacturing solution with a camera solution and a fully automated AI service from partner Cogniac. After installing the hardware, a visual inspection scenario was configured in SAP Digital Manufacturing with just a few clicks (no-code), so that after a critical production step, employees can check the component for defects with a single click using photos and the AI service.

Establishing an efficient process for transmitting and verifying authorized trading partner status yields to a more safe and secure supply chain for Novartis, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Spherity’s credentialing service CARO delivered to Novartis automated authorization checks in under one minute in line with DSCSA requirements. CARO helps avoid manual processes that drive personnel costs and introduce unnecessary complexity.

Partnering to Automate Quality Control and Reduce Fruit Loss
Dole Sunshine Company is a world leader in growing, sourcing, distributing, and marketing fresh tropical fruit and healthy drinks and snacks. It focuses on four areas of sustainability in all of its operations: water management, carbon footprint, soil conservation and waste reduction. As part of its “Dole Promise” to achieve zero fruit loss by 2025, the company is working with Clarifruit to add greater accuracy and control to its quality control (QC) processes for fresh produce.

Deli Home, based in the Netherlands, is a manufacturer of custom wood products for interior purposes, such as storage furniture and doors. Deli Home needed a solution to configure its inventory with retailer websites to improve customer experience and order fulfillment efficiency. After a successful go-live implementation of Expivi’s 3D Product Configuration for SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP’s industry cloud, Deli Home created an industry-first 3D configurator where consumers could order custom-made wood panels to be delivered directly to their homes.

During the SAP.iO Foundry Tel-Aviv Utilities program we collaborated with the European energy company E.ON and Israel Electric Corporation (IEC). E.ON and IEC participated in the application screening phase, had dedicated meetings and sessions with the selected startups during the program, shared insights and industry challenges with startups, and were potential beta-sites for pilots for relevant startups.
